​We are seeking a Solicitor to join our top-tier Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency team, based in Sydney.

You will work closely with highly respected, fresh and dynamic partners Paul Apáthy (Band 2 – Chambers; Future Generation Partner – Legal 500) and Nikki Smythe (top 20 dealmakers under 40 – Australian Financial Review).

You will undertake a range of work that supports and advises corporate debtors, their creditors and special situations investors in responding to distressed situations, including debt restructurings, formal insolvencies, corporate turnarounds, distressed investments, security enforcement, special situations lending and debt trading.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• demonstrable experience in day-to-day management of, and delivering technical advice in connection with, a range of restructuring, insolvency and debt financing matters from a leading top tier, national or international private practice, or in-house environment.

• an excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.

• a proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.

• an ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously.
