Job description

Nicholas Scott are working with a major international law firm to provide an employment lawyer (contentious and non contentious). The role will initially be a Fixed Term Contract for a minimum period of 12 Months, ideally to start in January/February.

You will have  at least 4 years + experience with a well know Employment Department – however, they are happy to consider PQE levels both above and below this.

The role will advise on a full range of employment matters for employers, both on a collective basis and in relation to individual employees. Advise on the recruitment and termination of senior executives; the conduct of consultation meetings with trade unions and employee representatives; and large scale corporate reorganisations and outsourcing matters-includes cross-border projects and disputes.

Representing employers in legal proceedings in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal. Representing clients at the Central Arbitration Committee and in mediations.

Examples of the work include successfully acting to obtain the full enforcement of post termination restrictions against departing employees who were joining a competitor of a client, and advising on a large scale reorganization involving multiple TUPE transactions coupled with a need to harmonise significantly differing terms of employment across a number of associated companies..
