Exciting opportunity to join Singapore’s leading Energy practice. The Singapore office is seeking an English law qualified associate with a solid foundation in corporate/project agreements and relevant experience working in a leading financial centre at a top tier international firm in the UK or US.

This unique opportunity will be working with the only lawyer in Singapore recognized in the Energy category by Who’s Who Legal Thought Leaders: Global Elite. Knowledge of basic oil and gas agreements would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and must be willing to travel around South East Asia; the successful candidate will also be creative, flexible and have an entrepreneurial drive and have approximately 3-6 years of post-qualification experience.

The Singapore office, which has been open for over 10 years and is ideally situated to represent clients in business transactions in South and Southeast Asia, including India, Indonesia and Myanmar. They focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance (including project finance), real estate, private equity, capital markets transactions and restructurings.

The Singapore team consists of five partners, While the associates in Singapore will work on a variety of deals with different partners, this role will work primarily with the lead Partner who is a member of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure, Mergers and Acquisitions and Global Finance Practice Groups and has been in Singapore since 1996.

He has been recognized by Chambers & Partners and other professional directories for many years and is raked “Band 1” for nine consecutive years in Indonesia by Chambers & Partners.
