Nicholas Scott is working with a market-leading US law firm to consider a 2-3 PQE Associate to join their top-tier IP/IT/Commercial Transactions practice in London. This would give the right associate the ability to work on a variety of Tech work including Data Protection.
Our requirements are:
·at least two years’ post-qualification experience working in a transactional IP/IT practice group at a leading firm (magic circle, silver circle, US firms or other specialist boutiques);
·a focus on transactional IP and technology work, with commercial contracts experience (particularly in the technology and life sciences sectors);
·data protection (GDPR/UK DPA) experience;
·outstanding academics;
·versatility and a willingness to get involved in a broad variety of international corporate and commercial transactions within IP/IT and data protection;
·an entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset;
·a committed, enthusiastic and driven character;
·willingness to take on a leadership role and mentor juniors in the team;
·collegiality, commercial-mindedness and high degree of comfort when dealing with clients and other firms; and
·UK-trained and qualified.
This group frequently plays a leading role in high-value corporate and commercial transactions across a diverse range of sectors and industries, spanning pharma, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, financial institution technology infrastructure in the context of significant M&A transactions, software development and licensing, high-end luxury goods and hospitality, consumer products, music licensing and fashion. The work is usually cross-border and there are opportunities to travel.
