Cash Accounting or Accruals Basis - Partnership
One of the big advantages to a number of US firms is they run cash accounting when distributing Partnership profits which allows payments in a number of circumstances to be paid with 6/8 weeks of the year end.A number of UK firms operating on an accruals basis are failing to distribute up to 24 months after the year end.Firms operating a cash accounting basis also tend to be debt free and have a lower capital requirement.
